2000 Disco II in SW Connecticut
Sad, but it's time to part company with my old friend. She's been a delight since i drove it off the showroom floor in the spring of 2000.
She comes with 4 nato steel wheels with winter tires, 5 standard equip wheels with all season tires. The pictures show the steel wheels mounted. The spare has the standard wheel.
Jump seats in the rear -- which means seating for 7. Rear A/C (and front A/c of course). CD changer. Air suspension replaced with springs last year.
99920 miles. Full tank of gas! She's ready to go another 100,000 miles in the right hands.
First reasonable offer will be accepted. I'd rather she go to someone who appreciates Land Rovers than into the standard used car market place!
Email me stat! rhiner402@gmail.com or call me 203 858 6611
Thanks!
Ron

come on guys... i gotta get rid of this stat! it runs great! I shudder to see all the parting out ads for this era disco -- mine won't be ready for that treatment for a very long time.

Answers to some questions I've received....
The service engine light is on, as is the oil light. There is plenty of oil in there. The engine is a little noisy. It kinda sounds like an exhaust leak to me, but I think its coming from the top of the engine -- maybe a rocker is sticky.
There is no oil (or anything else) leaking onto my driveway -- well, by that I mean beyond the few drips of oil that define the parking spot of any english car ever built.
The seats are perfect. The headliner is a tiny bit saggy, but I never noticed that until I just looked.
Body has a few minor dings from shopping carts and other car doors, but they are very minor. The paint would sparkle with a clay treatment.
The front bumper is brand new. Compliments of an idiot who didn't look before backing up. if you do a carfax on the vin... that's the 12/12 'accident'. The vehicle has never been in accident otherwise.
The retractable step below the back bumper is not retracting. One end of the mounts for the spring that pulls it up has rusted away. Needs a small weld there.
According to two dealers I talked to today, the trade in value of this is $1000. Ugh. It will probably cost nearly that to ship across the country. I'm in Westport CT, zip is 06880. Get some quotes from car shippers so you know what the total deal is.
I have a land rover bike rack that I'll throw in too. it mounts in the receiver hitch.
Yes, everything is factory. The only thing I've added is the NATO wheels.
