Just got these back from the machinist. He is a Rover, TVR, MG, Jag specialist that does a lot of race motor work. Very good machinist.
Each head was completely disassembled, all parts checked for wear and tolerances checked. Valves were ground, valve seats received a 3 angle grind, valve stem seals were replaced, and mating surface decked. What is the red and blue stuff on the valve seats?
Those are some clean looking heads. |
Machinist marks exhaust and intake with different colors. He said the angles are different (or something, I can't remember) so he does this to keep things clear while he is working.
