On the hunt for IID tool that anyone might want to off load, bluetooth or wired

Have you looked at the Nanocom Evolution? I believe the IID is locked to a VIN and the Nanocom is locked to a particular model.

Do you get used ones, or just new ones?

Also, is there any real benefit to the bluetooth if you only need it for one Rover (other than ease of use)?

Just new ones. If you find a used one, you will have to purchase a VIN code from GAP to unlock the tool to work on your vehicle.

They regular tool and the BT version are both locked per VIN unless you get the code. I have used both tools and highly recommend the BT version. Its functionality is far superior to that of its lesser brother. You cannot use the basic tool when the car is in motion whereas the BT tool works whenever
