200,000 mile club

If your Land Rover has 200,000 miles (321,868 km) on its ORIGINAL engine post of picture of your truck and your odometer here.
It does not matter if it is a Discovery Series I or II, or a Range Rover or a Freelander or a Defender, whatever it is if it is a Land Rover with the original engine post it here.

Please do not reply to this so we can try and keep it "clean".

If you have a specific question for the owner of the truck please start a new thread in the "Roaming with friends" section for that person.
I hope to see lots of pictures up here.

1997 Land Rover Discovery Series I.
I am the second owner and it was dealer maintained until I bought it with 152,000 miles on it back in April of 2007.
It has been the second most reliable vehicle I have ever owned and it has the most miles of any vehicle I have ever owned.

Ha, I got one with 197k, and the other with 207.5k.

The later I call "Pookie". I felt it was ironic. Here are some pics of Pookie, who was a Craigslist special that I drove 4.5 hours to get home with no serious issues (had to top off oil, and a transmission bracket fell on the driveshaft and clanked until I put a bungie on it). Pookie cost me 3 digits.

I don't have an odometer pic yet. I'll try to get one soon.

He has a redneck custom bumper, two hella lights, a backup spot light, diff guards, and a 2" lift and adjustable (but rusted) shocks. Has a ladder and a half ass roof rack I'm going to shore up.

He's currently getting his fluids replaced. Then I have to figure out how to get him to pass emissions. ;-) The interior looks like a grenade went off. He has cancer in the usual places. His job is to have fun, and tear though the woods with abandon. :-) If he dies, I have two other rovers that will eat his parts.

And I have to get those damn Chevy stickers off.

Pookie runs like a scalded dog. I'm going to check the timing. It just doesn't seem natural. Especially with 245/75R16s...

So I found out that the low compression 3.9L V8 that came out of a Range Rover and went into my Discovery has right at 200k miles. I was looking at the truck last night at my friends house, and looked at the odometer. It was 191k and some change. I have put 9K miles on my Discovery since I got it, so I'm a hair over 200k. She still runs like a well oiled machine!!!

Here is my 2000 Discovery II. It is still running strong. The transmission still shifts like new.

Well...Emma turned 200k this last weekend, on our way to Onslow Beach. Still running like she was a youngster. Motor and running gear all stock. Have added some exterior parts, but shes basicly a stock disco.

Alrighty, got it all figured out and I got the pictures to prove it.

This is the 1990 Range Rover that my engine came from. I snapped the picture yesterday.

This is the odometer of the Range Rover.

This is the photo of the title to my Discovery showing how many miles were on it when I got it.

And this is a picture of the odometer on my Discovery I took about 15 minutes ago.

So by the power of deduction, I've put 8,570 miles on the engine since it's been installed, and 191,701+8,570 = 200,271

So my engine has 200,271 miles. It's hard to believe, honestly LOL!

And I though I know it's not the original engine, I still think it's pretty sweet that my engine has over 200k, and I can actually verify it.

Oh well...my engine finally died at 265k. So no pics.
