FYI - I had originally replaced mine with a URO brand and it was always engaged. Beck/Arnley brand is twice as much but it works properly.

these are notorious for valve cover leaks - like really bad leaks
also power steering...

make sure its a good flaring kit like rigid - dont go cheap it will twist and bend the pipe
I redid all the hard and soft lines on my 98 disco 4yrs ago....

They changed series in the middle of 99.
door handles are the easiest to tell - if they look like your 98 (flush with the body) its a D1------- if they are handle type...

been running Brembro rotors and beck arnley pads for the past 1yr or so - work just fine. Your never really going to improve on the under powered brake system of these vehicles
