Mine is a 2010 and has been incredibly reliable. Water pumps fail early - watch out for the tell tale leak. But not sure of any chronic issues. They eat brakes and tires - hardly more than 15k miles...

I doubt there is any meaningful reliability difference btw the V6 SC engine and the diesel one. The SC has about 100hp more and is a little faster accelerating (not as much more as you might think)....
