It’s called a “vented” disc for a reason. Vacuum or no vacuum the brakes would heat up the same. Just takes a lot more force to stop. But you still have brakes!!!

You're on the right track with not running to fix the ABS. It's my understanding that failure shouldn't cause a loss of overall pressure.
