New Defender Exploring Zimbabwe - Youtube

I think I may have posted this in the incorrect forum (2020 Defender) so admins, please feel free to delete one of them should you wish to. Thank you.

I recently did a trip through Zimbabwe to some pretty wild places. Here is part one of that trip. Hope you enjoy:

Oh my goodness Bruce, thanks so much for posting this video. My wife and I just finished watching it. Such fantastic memories came back. We worked in Zimbabwe from '87-'92, where I flew light aircraft for a missionary organization. Part of our stint involved living on Fothergill Island on Lake Kariba flying for a local outfitter. I went into Mana Pools several times with their clients. Zimbabwe was such a beautiful country and it's nice to see it's still trying to find a way to thrive. It was during this time that I fell in love with Land Rovers (open 2A's at the time), and have been driving them ever since our return to Canada. I'm looking forward to watching more episodes.

wow what great times you must have had! I haven’t been to Fothergill since 1989 when I was a kid believe it or not!

Do you still drive open 2A’s in Canada?

Thanks so much for watching and commenting. So glad I rekindled some memories.

Take care

We lived at Fothergill from 87 to 88 so probably missed you though we still did some vacationing there after that.
I had a 2A here from 94 until last year, though I only had the top off once. Now we have a ‘97 P38 and an ‘01 Disco 2.
