Magnaflow Exhaust

Always wanted to buy a rangerover got a HST RR Sport from Ford, someone traded it in, well in warranty only 18k miles on it, when i got on highway the exhaust was too loud, found out the car has magnaflow exhaust system installed and the sound is so loud i can hear inside the car, its driving me crazy, took it to a muffler shop, they added a resonator for $300 which made it worse, i dont know what to do with this And already cant wait to sell it.. any help is appreciated

Taking it back to a stock exhaust would be the best bet

so take it to dealer and have him do this? Or order myself online and take it to the muffler shop?

Whatever works best for you

Must be the vehicle. I have on on my LR3 and it is great, just a bit throaty is all. Mine is a cat back installation without the last stage muffler part, just straight flow.

I'd love the magnaflow exhaust on mine just not the price tag

If you take it back to stock exhaust and don't destroy the MagnaFlo removing it you can probably sell the removed items. There is someone that wants them even though you don't. Especially since it doesn't have that many miles on it.

I bought one for my Corvette used and paid over 450 used from someone....

Could the Magnaflow exhaust packing be blown out? Maybe the mufflers just need to be repacked or replaced. I'm betting the owner still won't be happy with it though because it will still be loud, just not as obnoxious maybe. The best bet is to have it removed carefully for resale of the exhaust and then a factory system reinstalled. Just reselling the whole vehicle shouldn't cost too much though. It's not like you have a lot of expenses in the transaction like with real estate.

There are only a few engines I care to hear with a loud exhaust, and Land Rover doesn't have any of them.

Too bad you aren't from the Midwest USA, would trade you my stock exhaust for your Magnaflow.
