Why not to buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee

The tilte says it all, unfortunatly I could not find the Discovery doing this test

Thats shocking. I would like to see a Disco without ACE and a Disco with ACE do it.

A Disco will flip....read what is behind the sun visor.....

Spike555 08-02-2012 08:29 PM

I disagree that a Disco would flip, all of the Disco's weight is down in the frame and below.
The body does not weigh that much, its the rest of the truck, the Disco is very sure footed.

That and Dodge makes some very poor transmissions...

Disco would not flip. I've done more aggressive maneuvers than whats shown above in my D2, and it's lifted 3", with a rack, with a tent.

i wont buy a grand cherokee, because i wont have g reeves to bail me out with problem fixes!

TRIARII 08-09-2012 03:13 AM

I'm with Spike, I doubt a Disco would flip unless one of the coil springs were broken.

Intense find. That is crazy. I bet Jeep doesn't spread that video around too much

Rovin4life 08-11-2012 06:25 PM

I can tell you why it happens. They use the same air suspension from a RRC. They lack cross link valves and individual air valves to mitigate the air suspension. Chances are the ones without air suspension don't have that problem. The technology is twenty years old yet they use the terrain response switch set up like LR.
