96 Disco CD player ?

My 96 Disco has the factory radio along with the LR, Pioneer made 6 disc changer. The changer will not power up, and on the radio I can't get it to find the CD mode. It will go to AM, FM, modes but CD never pops up. Anyone experienced this, or know of a fix?
