A chisel or punch and hammer work good to remove those screws. Big head gives lots of torque. Just pound CCW. Surprisingly easy and screw is not damaged too much.

If you decide to use it, a couple things:
1. Running unpressurized will reduce the leak rate, you can read my blog post on running unpressurized.
