Default BLUETOOTH AND MP3

So I just bought an 06 Range Rover and I'm having severe issues. Of course I love the vehicle, unfortuneatly I love my Treo 650 and MP3 music just as much. I see there are Bluetooth issues with Treo 650 and the Range, i'm guessing this is due to the Bluetooth version on Treo 650 (1.2). Has anyone tried the new Treo 700p with Bluetooth 2.0 in there Rover? I hope this does the trick.

MP3's - It says in the manuel that you can play MP3 discs that are closed out. I have yet to be successful with this attempt. My last car Infiniti M45 worked flawlessly when I created MP3 disks. Rover, no such luck! Any suggestions? It looks like the 6-disk changer that came with my Rover is Clarion. Could I have been robbed or is there some specific software/disk I should be using?

PLEASE HELP!!!!

JTR

WELL IT LOOKS LIKE I MIGHT HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH MYSELF....

One item down!! If anyone reads this, it was luck of the draw that this worked for me. I know in the Land Rover manuel that it states that only a "closed session" mp3 disc will play. Well I tried that with Roxio and was making sure to close the session. It wasn't working.....DAM. Well i've recently got rid of my MAC (totally against my will - work purposes only) and bought a Sony vaio. There is some software that comes on the vaio called Sonic Stage. I used that to create an MP3 disc with feelings of unsuccess before i even finished. Well to my surprise, my first MP3 CD for my Range Rover is born!!!

I will tell you though just from my experience with MP3 discs and cars...the Range Rover display lacks soooo much compared to other vehicles. Although, I wouldn't give this rover up for the world.

MY TREO 700P WILL BE HERE TOMORROW AND I'LL THEN TRY THE BLUETOOTH. HOPEFULLY I'LL BE POSTING A REPORT TO MYSELF THIS POSITIVE AGAIN.

JTR OUT!

Kinda off the topic, but how do you like the Sony vaio? I am looking for a small pc to integrate into my Disco.

my treo 650 works flawlessly as a blue tooth phone with the 06 lr3. although i have been serveal 650'w till i got one that worked well. they are a great device but a ****ty phone. make sure you update the software on the phone. most times its a software issue.

as for mp3's also works great. i use msn to rip cds. i have it automatically converted to mp3 in the rip. works fine. other option is to use free ware called goldwave. it also converts to mp3. have fun
