Default Dash Idea?

Hello Good People,

For months I have been thinking of ideas for this center dash space.
I was wondering what you use this dash space for? I want to press on the area and have a device slowly rise up...

I use it to rest my sunglasses on. Otherwise, nothing. Some people mount gauge clusters there. I've also had a windshield mounted tablet occupying the space on a couple occasions.

Nice!
I was thinking about a small tablet that could be lowered into the dash when not in use.

No room under that space I'm sure. Radio/ac ducts right there

I liked this idea on a '95 RRC, guy made the gauge pod out of carbon fiber. The build was on Pirate4X4 last year.

You could do the same type of pod design in aluminum and cover it with vinyl to match the dash color. I'd profile the dash binnacle exactly and toss a couple of switches in too.

The good thing about using that spot is the ability to run wire through the vent to your gauges and switch set. The other spot at least for me would be the overhead, make it a console and extend it further into the cabin. There'd be enough room for a ton of stuff.
