Default waterproofing electirical and ecm

ok I see reference to buying some stuff to dip the ecm or spraying it with lacquer?

harness plugs seem straight forward just goop with dielectric grease and re plug in

would like to do this while engine is apart

I'm interested too...haven't found much beyond dielectric grease that didn't lead to other issues.

well I ordered the can in the second link? the acrylic lacquer spray mostly cause it dries faster, the silicone looked like 48 hours + to dry

says for high temp electronics, static protection, high moisture area protection , arcing etc. I am gonna assume it is what they spray on the copper wiring inside electric motors and alternators

outside the case looks like crap, inside the boards look like new probly cause they are coated, the drain in the case looks like a 1 way valve, but the case is not sealed in any way, think I may re-spray everything and spray the inside of the case

ok so the spray showed up, went on no problem it dries like a flat clear coat with a bluish hue, can says UV reactive for QC tried to take pics but I don't think they really show up, also sprayed the case and covers inside and out can also product is UL listed, unless I go to start the rover and the ECM shorts out I will probly start using this on all the ECU boards when I need to service them
