Well the MPG results are in for my 80 miles round trip commute in 4wd. 15.5 MPG in chicagoland traffic. I'm a happy camper thats better than I hoped for.

Looks like tomorrow I will be trading out the street sneakers for a almost new set of Bridgestone dueler AT's. Not the best I know but they are real reasonable and will definitely be better in the snow. They are a touch bigger than stock but not crazy lol.

There's really nothing to the SAI system. It's just a fan, a solenoid and 2 vacuum cans. Check the vacuum lines and ends first, then just follow the procedures in RAVE to find the problem.

Well the tire deal fell through unfortunately. Got over to the junk yard by my office to get the tires and have them mounted up only to find in their excitement to call me they didn't check the tires very well and they were all badly cupped. So that search continues.

Yes the guys at the local yard call me when they get in Land Rovers.

It was a nice day and I was feeling froggy so I opened my sun roof. Pat told me they worked fine but I have always feared Land Rover sun roofs. It worked perfectly.

Well today I washed the Disco, and did some trouble shooting.

The SAI pump is fried. Doesn't seem to kick on even with 12 volts applied and seems to have exhaust coming out of it. So I'll be hunting for a good used pump and a new filter.

Drivers side key lock rod is snapped off in the lock cylinder so I'll also be on the hunt for a new rod to repair that. Now its time to clean the interior!

You've got a 2000 with SAI? That sucks.

Yeah. It's not complicated. I just don't like an extra emissions system, especially if it's not robust enough to out live the car. I had it on my 2003, and I was happy to not have it on my 1999.
