Default F 4 flashes on dash

Hello I have an 03' freelander and as I was driving yesterday the car felt as if it jumped and then on the dash where the milage and gear the car is in can be seen, the letter F and number 4 flash back to back until I turn the car off, also the truck symbol and an exclamtion mark show up too. What could this be?

Okay, not sure if this will help, but similar problem happened on my 02 Freelander..the "F" should stand for "Fuse". And if this is correct the 4 could mean a number of things..As per my RAVE manual, here goes:

Could be:
1. A/C compressor clutch relay
2. E-box temp. sensor
3. Cooling Fan Unit
4. Steptronic switch
5. Gearbox Selonoid
6. Illumination Relay
7. Automatic Trans. Control Unit

Hopefully this will help, other than that i would take it to a dealership or LR type repair facility that has ODB.

Cheers!!
