Default Discovery 1 Exhaust Options

What are some of the things you experienced LR guys have done to your exhaust systems?

What are some of the options out there (i.e. kits, mufflers, etc.)?

I have read some posts about the manifolds.... alot of negative stuff. I quiet frankly dont understand why. From the looks of the manifolds on my 4.0, they look like cast iron headers; I dont see a need for improvement there. Infact, the entire exhaust system on my 98 Discovery looks rather nonrestrictive (I may be wrong).
With rather high mileage on my 98 Disco, I've been considering replacing the cat.s, but at what price??? I know stock exhaust system parts can be $pendy.

Thanks in advance. And hopefully some others may be wondering the same things.

Okay...... so I answered one of my own questions. I do that sometimes. But for those others who may be curious, here are the parts I'm interested in replacing.

Price is 550.00$ plus shipping of course.

Im running a full magnaflow setup cats,Y pipe, muffler, and tailpipe. It has a nice sound to it(not too loud not to quiet). Also it looks to be high quality built, nice welds and fairly heavy gauge pipe.

How much did that run you? is it a kit, or did you piece it together?

I honestly forget what the tailpipe and muffler cost but the cats and Y pipe were about $500 shipped. I bought them in 2 seperate peices the cats /y pipe then the muffler and tailpipe. I like the quality of the system every thing fit just like the original did plus its all stainless steel so I shouldnt have to worry about replaceing them any time soon.
