Default LR2 cooling fan control module

So I've got a failed cooling fan control module in my wife's 08 LR2. I've already bypassed the module directly to the battery and the fan comes on just fine so I know it's the module. Apparently I cannot find that module anywhere online or local without getting the entire fan assembly along with it which runs close to $600. Of course I don't want to replace a $600 part that isn't bad, who would lol. Does anyone know of a source I can get the module by itself from? Otherwise I'm considering beginning to visit local junk yards

Update: it looks like I may have found a cheap replacement on aliexpress, maybe?
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Fan-...5-2d21ace6e0e3

Still a little hesitant though since I've never purchased from this site. I know it's probably a cheap Chinese made replacement module but $20 vs $600, I'd say it's worth a shot lol. Can anyone share their experience with aliexpress.com?

Gates makes one (part number FCM126K) but it looks like they are on backorder.

You can probably get a secondhand part from ebay or Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

I bought the one from aliexpress, if it fails I won't sweat the $20 and will look at getting the gates part.

Thanks for the help!

how did it work? I found a dual fan module but don’t know how it will work in a single fan setup?

YES I did replace module only to find out the fan was bad also. Then found out u can’t buy the fan without module. So I bought fan and module at Rock Auto it was 1/2 price of dealer
also FYI https://bearmach.com is a lifesaver for parts

My experience as well, shop replaced the control module but it turned out the problem was the fan (which probably fried the control module, leading the shop down that road).

The fans do go out, so I'd just replace that knowing what I know now. If you have a single fan, you may be able to get the dual-fan assembly at a lower price than the single. It's designed for hot climates but that way if one fan fails, you'll still have one running.
