Default California Stop Bug

Is there a way to determine if this issue was fixed in my LR3? I have a GAP IID.
My 2009 is crazy jumpy when performing a California stop and the tranny clunks pretty bad as the truck lurches ahead. This is when accelerating after a slow down when putting foot back on the pedal and applying only a little gas. BOOM - just takes off like a bat out of

Doesn't happen every time but enough to annoy and make me go hmmmm.

thanks

Off hand I would say to check u-joints, CV Joints ,motor/trans mounts, shocks and lug nuts to start with, and then move on to trans fluid condition (automatic trans) does it only do it at lower speeds, or at higher speeds when letting up on gas then pressing down again? only when using brakes? Sounds like a driveline thing (maybe)

I would take it to a dealership, have them plug it in to their fancy diagnostic computer and read the latest tranny software or run the VIN and see if B034 had been previously performed.

I don't think the IIDTool can do that.

I'm guessing this can't be found in TOPIx either...

Does your LR3 have this problem?

Edit: Hey Houm, B034 is showing up in my searches as an air compressor suspension upgrade.

My LR3 does not exhibit this behavior, no.

My mistake, maybe this was B032. It was a widespread TSB though, for sure.

Yes your IIDTool can help you with that problem.
Please send us a email at gapteam AT Gap-Diagnostic dot com and we can provide a special firmware for your transmission

Regard
Eric

Thanks for the input, Eric. My LR3 is okay, but the OP can likely benefit from this if he/she purchases an IIDTool.

Love GAP, keep up the good work!

Already have a IID and already contacted GAP. They're looking in to my current ECU info and whether it can be flashed. Love those guys and this tool. w00t w00t

Oh man. I'm sending an e-mail as well and following this thread with interest. I have the same problem with coming to a rolling stop and have been thinking about getting my transmission ECU flashed as well. I noticed that on the new software update for the IID tool, it now allows you to view the software version for many of the different ECUs in the car, but I don't remember seeing the tranny offhand. If they can actually provide the software and allow us to flash it, they get a huge thumbs up on top of my love for that team already!

The GAP team is top-notch. I've stated that many times. They have helped me a ton over the years. Re-setting adaptations would be a handy thing to be able to do, too.
