I just picked up a 2013 LUX and notice the same "lag" compared to the 2011. Bluetooth streaming works great but you have to unplug the ipod (if you're using one) to resume the bluetooth stream. That's the only annoyance. Really like the tune info in the driver dash plus the nav info. Lot's of little improvements.

Really DON'T like the HK sound system in the 2013 and looking forward to hearing the new Meridian system in the 2014.

 

I have the same issues with my 2012 Disco 4, had it back to the dealer when I first got it, had to take it in about 5 times for hard resets, firmware upgrades etc. I finally got them to agree to replace the entertainment system. It worked well for about a year and has now started to play up again, back to the dealer and they have done another firmware upgrade and told me "that should fix it", I told them I was a bit hesitant after my previous experience and as I drove out of the dealer it again froze up.

have you had any more issues? or have you found a permanent fix to the problem, I think the stage I am at now is either another replacement or an upgrade or for land rover to install the new meridian system, are these any better?

 

Well I did have the same problem the entire time I had my 2012. Have the 2014 now and, though it has essentially the same system, it works perfectly. Fast start up. Rear camera comes up immediately when in reverse. Controls respond immediately. Etc.

 

So your solution to the entertainment system issues is to buy a newer model Land Rover?

 

No, the entertainment system had nothing to do with buying my 2014. I like the changes they made to the exterior and interior on the 2014 so I ordered one as soon as I was able to.
