Default Good Off Road Lights

Hey yall I am currently driving an '04 Disco II 2" Old man emu lift 32" dunlop mud rovers on 16" wheels, rovertym sliders, I am (hopefully) getting a baja rack for my Disco this christmas, and if not I will buy one with the money I get cause they are priced reasonably, however I want to get some good Off road lights, I know there are a few like KC Daylighters, PIAA's, etc. But I didnt know if there were any more for a bit cheaper? A friend told me to look around there are a few companies that are just as good as the ones previously listed and work just as fine for a bit cheaper. Help me out guys, I'm looking to wheel in the dark soon!

might want a winch before you start wheeling in the dark. as for lights the lights HID with internal ballasts and waterproof housing are best there are loads of brands. but they are costly. why don't you just go with the Hella 4000's $99

You what you pay for with cheap lights.
Where are you wanting to mount them and for what sort of driving?

hilltoper i wheel with a guy that has a good warn wench, im in the market to get one soon but just dont have the cash to go all out for one yet. Those hellas sounds pretty sweet though i will have to check them out. Disco Mike I am mounting them on my roof with the baja rack, I'm out in NC so its mostly mud here nothing too wild, I'll take it out to uwharrie and surrounding areas once i get my sliders installed. I realize you can buy cheap lights and youll get nothing, I am just saying $175 is ridiculous for one light and also way out of a price range of a part time working full time college student. thanks for the input guys!

Wait till you jump into HID's at $375 to $600 a piece, I have 3 plus HID head lights and can make toast out of anything in front of me when off the road.
So, how many will you you be installing and are you looking at floods and or spots.
Go check out Atlantic British for the majority of the lights on the market.
With roof lights, you may get a bad hood glare and want to consider installing a 3M hood black out.

These are the Hella H12560031 Rallye 4000's for about $85, sounds like a good deal to me but how good are they? Unlike your Disco Mike I am not trying to make toast out of things in my way, just want good vision distance of 10+ feet in front of me while i wheel at night. I have two rock lights on my stock bumper that do alright but I would like some extra range. I will most likely be installing 4, maybe 3 depending on how many hours I get at work over the holidays, I have already looked into the 3M hood blackout, found one for $50, that sounds pretty reasonable to me, if there are cheaper ones out there let me know. Appreciate all the input guys.

I found what I was looking for. My thoughts, from what I read and learned from Off-Road Lights in Washington state, were that the lights made by Lightforce were some of the highest quality lights in the industry. Their lights have been used by Australia truckers and the trucking industries for years to light the way of "Road Trains" that sometimes pull up to 5 trailers across the highways of Australia. They are also used in 40 countries by police, security, marine, search and rescue, fire services, and military applications such as in the Persian Gulf on U.S. Hummers in Desert Storm operations.
