Default Brake Issue in '95 Range County Classic

I am having some brake issues with my 1995 Range Rover County Classic. The ABS light goes on and off periodically and I haven't really paid much attention to it until now...when I push the brake pedal I literally have to push it all the way to the floor to get the car to stop. The brakes aren't that worn, since just earlier today they were working just fine. No noises or other symptoms. This happened once earlier this year, I let off the brakes and pushed again and the regular pressure was back. Today however it has not gone back to normal. The car will eventually stop but it's a little un-nerving especially because I live on a mountain. Any thoughts on what the issue may be or solutions?

The first thing I would try is flushing/bleeding the brakes starting with the master cylinder. Chances are they need it anyway. When I got my truck it had a very long pedal travel and I flushed/bled them and they are good now. If that doesn't work let us know and you can start looking at hardware.
