Default air susp gone?? is it worth repair or convert

I figured out that I had a front and rear air susp on the same side leaking. I bought the air susp bags. I was going to replace them today and i went to the AFC game yesterday Pats won again!!!! The rover was packed w/4 guys and tailgate stuff. On the way to the game the susp dropped and i couldn't hear the pump anymore. Today I checked the relays under the pass front seat and I appears I'm getting power to the pump (I hear clicking from the boxon the frame rail.) Is there a relay or anything there or is the pump smoked. If so I'll have to convert to springs for cost reason I need some help. Thanks in advance Rick

You need to go to a shop that has the proper scanner and have them read for codes to know for sure.

Hey Mike I reluctantly am going to convert over to coil springs. It is just a cost issue and down time. Rick

You are only dealing with an electrical issue.

Default RE: air susp gone?? is it worth repair or convert

Hi,

2001 Disco II with about <70k and rear air suspension failed again. This is second time. It was truly sad to look at the 'canyonero' dragging its ass like that.

Waiting to hear from indy mechanic on what problem is. I need to dodge some bullets on this because budget too tight. I'm afraid its gonna be a big bill.......

Does anyone (Mike?) have advice on how to clearly diagnose problem?

Thanks for help.

Find out exactly what is wrong, get an estimate and call me. Many times they can be fixed real inexpensively.
What exactly is it doing wrong?

We like to hear that, sounds like you lost a height sensor.

I found handling improved dramatically when I put springs in the back, a whole lot less uncontrolled sway back there. I would certainly never go back to a pistonless airbag system again.

I changed over to the coil springs. My pump was gone. The ride is a little different. I liked the air susp. but it was to costly. Rick
