2003 Land Rover Discovery 2

The entire truck has been serviced end to end in preparation for Overland Travel. With your own camping gear, you can take this rig off the grid indefinitely. All systems work as designed, 4WD, traction control, down-hill assist. All creature comforts. Heated leather seats, cruise, tilt, full power package. 

Drive train:
4.6 liter engine rebuilt in 2018. Bored .020 with new pistons, rings, and pins. Entire valve train replaced with new camshaft, lifters, push rods, rocker assy’s and rocker shafts. Cylinder heads reworked as well.  New O2 sensors, sparks plugs and wires.  New serpentine belt. All new cooling system including radiator, hoses, w/p, thermostat, cooling fan, cooling fan clutch and coolant recovery tank. Transmission serviced along with fluid changes in the transfer case, and front and rear axles. New u-joints as well. Approximately 12000 miles on the rebuild

Tires, suspension and brakes:
BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain T/A 265/70-16 (30 inch tall) tires. 2 inch wheels spacers for more aggressive stance and better handling. 
Brake system flushed with new hoses, master cylinder, and fluid. New brake pads, rotors, and ABS sensors on all four wheels. “Three Amigos Mod” done for the common ABS/TC Fault. This is a southeast U.S. unit with now frame rot. New shocks all around, 2 inch spacer lift, new steering stabilizer. New front upper and lower ball joints

Interior:  
Updates include new Alpine head unit and amp with factory steering wheel controls and Nakamichi speakers in all factory locations. Hands free calling too. Doors and roof have been insulated for sound deadening and heat. Windows tinted to 20% for privacy
Presently I have a two person sleeping platform with cushions in the rear passenger area. I still have the rear seat assembly if you need to carry around more than one passenger. Headliner was replaced about three years ago but it needs to be re-glued in a couple areas.

Overland/Off road gear:
9000 lbs. Badlands winch with wired and wireless remote, synthetic winch line, and some recovery gear to include a high lift jack. Hella 9000 Lights on the Safety Device overhead rack LED bumper lights. Rear door ladder for roof access. Roof has been painted white to heat reflection. Front and rear factory bumpers replaced with steel units and a home built set of step bars / rock sliders are installed. 2 aluminum storage boxes for the overhead roof rack and drawer storage in the rear cargo area. I also installed fold down table on the rear door for a camp stove. I have some extra engine parts and a Smitty -Bilt awning that goes with. 

Asking price is $7K obo.  I can work a portion on trade as I need a 5x10 or 6X12 cargo trailer with side door.  Vehicle is located in Lizella Georgia close to exit 155 off Interstate 75, about 90 miles south of ATL airport.  Fly in and drive it home.
