Default 1 of 1 OF D90x

SO... it's just about done. After 10 months of deciding, supply chaining, watching ships move into ports, and checking paint samples, my Overfinch D90X is nearly here.. Overfinch is mostly known for the work they do in the UK and on predominantly RRS. They also have a Heritage division that does amazing work. Design process was exceptional- finish product even better..

I decided on a D90X, mostly because I love the look of the 2 door.

We loaded a Santorini Black D90x to the gills as the donor car.

We then:
- added Overfinch 22" Centaur Wheels w General Grabber Tires
- added Overfinch spoiler and color coding
- replaced the interior seating with quilted tan / black seating
- added new floor mats, and running board
- color coded the brake calipers to Bronze

...and painted the car to sample. Yes, this car was taken apart and repainted. After a field of greens, I decided on a Mercedes color- Smaragdgrun (metallic emerald green). The way this color reads black to green to metallic in the light and on the curves is amazing

I was thinking about a wrap but I wanted the exterior color to carry into the interior front doors the way this Defender is designed.

Here are some pics- the extended wheel arches (in gloss black) and being fitted monday as is the spare wheel cover. I will post pics of the final final product..

Really pretty green color. The bronze is inspired. The rear lights are positively subtle.

Too attractive, inside and out, to ever be off pavement or have in the mud, so the 22" wheels work.

Enjoy !!

That is amazing. 22" wheels on a Defender ordinarily make baby Jesus cry but in this case, he'll allow it. I've always felt a dark green should absolutely be available from the factory. This proves it.

agreed- one of the colors I was looking at was a discontinued range rover green but it was so flat.. This one has the mix of metallic, black, and green..

I'd love one in Petrolix. If I was going to do this I would have done it to a V8 though.

the V8 was the original option but I couldn't not get a build slot. Petrolix is a great color. The other color I was looking at but wasn't feasible was spectral green, but since I went outside of Land Rover, the mercedes color worked the best for my eyes..

What you’ve shown looks amazing. When you replaced the seats did they engineer a solution so your rear seats fold flat and make the cargo area useful?

You should definitely do full body PPF at this point.

Looks amazing.

I wish I did- they are just new seats but that bar remains, which I think is a really big miss. They do come out easier if I want to get them to lay fully flat..

Absolutely love the interior and the exterior paint color. In certain photos the exterior reminds me of LR's Aintree Green which I had on my two RR Sports...loved that color and has already been said, this proves (IMHO) that metallic green should be a color option...one of things I was holding out for...and after losing hope somehow ended up with Eastnor/Heritage Yellow and Black...lol.

Brilliant job, congrats and enjoy.
