2021 Model Availability?
#32
I recently had the chance to take a 2020 HSE (White on Black), but when it came in it wasn't what I wanted. So the order for a 2021 HSE Dynamic with everything but the HUD is now on paper today.
I am a bit nervous because my IMPECCABLE 2016 LR4 HSE LUX has the rear gate just the way I like it. However, I guess I'll just get used to a tire and a swinger!
Hoping to get an update on the order status later this week or early next. It's great to see that it's about 2-3 months out from most orders I've seen here.
p.s. First post here, but a frequent Voyeur!

Welcome! Are you keeping or trading-in your LR4? If trading, be sure to check the current LR4 retail values on Autotrader. LR4's are worth much more than what the typical dealer will give you. And their value seems to be going up as we will never see a vehicle like the LR4 ever again. You can view the discussion here:

*Pardon the multi post if they came through that way!
Selling it straight out. Dealer offered me $35K for it, and got bites on CraigsList immediately at $40k. It has 47k in miles, newly serviced brakes and full service from JLR PDX and is pretty much impeccable! . I run Hakkapelitta Studless in the winter here on it and they are VELCRO. (I see a Tires post coming up soon in my future)!

I had to do a splash and dash for coolant on my 17D5 on Monday. My car is in Baltimore at port and I guess they have to do whatever they do there before releasing them to dealers. It is early though. Original ETA 1/15/21. Updated 2 weeks ago to 1/8/21. Car in US as of Last week and will get a call when it arrives at dealer.

Be glad that your Defender won't arrive until after winter. (Same with mine) Right now Nokian does not make a winter tire in the Defender sizes. I'm a long-term Nokian fan and reached out to them about this issue. They actually replied that they will offer winter tires in Defender sizes in fall of 2021.

Oh, but they do if you have 20" and swap the size/diameter out. I chose the 19" wheels with the Off-Road tires after CAREFUL consideration. In my opinion, the Defender should run on 19" for tire availability, deflation and general all around performance how the vehicle was built! . Wheels can be changed aftermarket, anytime. I decided to STOCK factory with how the new Defender was intended to perform with 19s... (just my research and opinion).....
