Default 2022 defender xs

I got a silicon silver xs arriving in January. Any recommendations for rear bumper and front grill/bumper in regards to color.

The ceres silver seems a bit bright but is growing on me slowly.

Wondering how shadow atlas would look

Just saw an XS in Eiger grey with gloss black bumpers two days ago and it was one of the nicest color combos I've ever seen.

My silicon silver XS is in the shop getting the bumpers painted gloss black right now. I had the hood and roof wrapped in black already. I am also having the wheels powder coated black. The ceres silver does not combo well with the silicon silver IMO.

I was planning to paint the calipers as well, but they are already painted a light silver which might look good in contrast to black wheels. We will see.

also, if you don’t mind me asking, how much did the shop charge for the painting of the bumpers

@Moretti did you also paint the panels? Super excited to see how this comes out, as I've thought of doing the same to my XS.

I will post some photos soon as I get it back. The powder coating was supposed to take a couple weeks (not sure why) but the bumpers are supposed to be done by today.

I believe is was around $900 or $950 for the bumpers. They are also installing the tow hooks. I spent half a day taking the bumper mostly off (could not figure out how to get around the hitch, I have now figured there are extra screws to remove). From a time perspective I lost out on that one trying to install tow hooks myself.

I also had them paint the cross bars which was $100

Which panels are you referring to? The one in between the rear window?

Default The Beast Arrived!

She arrived tonight. X-HSE. More pics coming and a new set of wheels and calipers. Kind of blown away with this. Even with the 22’s, ride quality is superb. I think I will head to the garage and sit in her again.

I think he is referring to the panels that are normally black on the other trim lines but body color on the XS trim line. (trim around wheel arches, lower door and lower sides of the front/rear bump area)

Keep us posted.

Isn’t the point of the XS the color of the lower trim and bumpers and how that ties together to create that trim? Otherwise why wouldn’t you pick another trim? It’s only available for ‘22 anyways so I’m not sure why the uniqueness would want to be removed. Just my thought, what do you guys think?
