For reference my new '22 90 S I picked up from a lot on July 5th of last year was $59,955 MSRP. The '23.5 130 SE I just ordered on July 1st of this year's MSRP is $100,315. 1 trim up with 2 more doors and some added length and options for a $40k premium hmmm...

In my experience, it's down to the dealer and JLR. If JLR honors the price from the point the order was accepted by JLR, then you'll get that price. If JLR is upping the delivery price not he dealers, or the dealer wants more $ from you because they can, then it's them.

My dealer has a 'no markup promise' and even before times when cars were easy to make they weren't marking up the hot cars when they came out like a lot of places do. I can't speak for your dealer, but if the order wasn't allocated/build wasn't started you're probably SOL as JLR will raise the price to the dealer.

 

For reference, my 23MY P400 X build sheet MSRP before I finally got an allocation was 87,900, and when the order was accepted for the 23.5MY with last amendment data of 6/15, it's now MSRP 90,900. Est delivery date to dealer is 09/09.

 

Already contacted dealer and received response yesterday. As my order was confirmed prior to March 31 2022, JLR will rebate 87% of $2300 MSRP increase. Why 87%? Who knows…. But it closed most of the gap. Contact your dealer, you might save a couple bucks.
