Default 3rd Row Yay or Nay

Looking at local inventory...so many of the builds have the 3rd row optioned $1700 + real climate $1075

I don't foresee ever using the 3rd row...should I bite the bullet and just get one with it or search harder for a non optioned 3rd and save my almost 3k

did you opt for it....is there extra storage space if you opt out?

I would skip it but that is me. We have a 7 seater lr3 and have never stuck anyone back there.

The second row doesn’t fold flat if you get third row. Something additional to consider.

If you won’t use the third row, I would probably skip it. I got mine for my dog’s car seat when the whole family goes somewhere. Second row folds pretty close to flat but works differently
If you skip the third row, you’ll get an extra hidden storage compartment in the boot.

I opted for the two rows. You get slightly more space in second row without the third row.

I find the hidden storage compartment with my P300 to be uniquely useful -- it holds my battery cables, recovery gear, hitch attachments and hand tools. Keeps the rear storage area clear for non-permanent, carried items.

Third tow adds more "utility" to the SUV.

It probably comes down to how much leg room is in that third row (I suspect not much), how tall the people sitting back there are and how often you will use it.

If you really need a third row, I would wait for the 130 or get a D5 or used LR4.

This has been proven wrong by several owners - you have to push REALLY HARD, but the second row can fold flat and click into place.

I personally would not get the third row - you do lose some storage space, and the seats are nearly useless. I was patient and looked around for a rig equipped with both the towing package and the rear locker, but no third row, and was eventually able to find one. It was worth the wait.

The second row does slide forward to get more legroom in the third row. I thought about ordering it, but decided we never take anyone even in the second row, why would we need a third row.
