Default Mirror

Ordered mine in Dec of 2020. It arrived in April '21. Defender 110 x HS. I did not have to purchase the clear view mirror. It came as standard at that time. I even looked up in the order, and is not a separate item. So I assume is now an "enhancement".
I remember when a friend of mine wanted to buy a "SMART" car. Everything was an add on. Even the crappy radio.
JLR does it the wrong way - this is NOT how you increase the value of the car, they just make it expensive.
But, I guess it sells anyways.

An actual picture of the enjoyment on your face is the only way to make this better.

It was not standard for MY 2020 S models, had to pay an up charge for it.

Ditto the e-Diff. Would have paid there too. It has happened to many others. In fact I think it likely happened (whether they noticed or not) to everyone that the trim level applied to. I suspect it was heavy handed change by JLR that most dealers were clueless about until too late.
Yea that's unfortunate. There was the early transition to 2022 around Feb-March or so where all we had from the sales team was that PDF, the configurator was still on 2021 when I ordered the 2022. Some options were made standard on some trims and others were dropped. I didn't realize the clearsight was one of those changes, I was ordering the 90S so for us budget-build folks it was always an extra $450 US I believe. I feel bad for the OP and anyone else who lost this in the shuffle with their X trim. I mean it was those extra options kind of bundled into the X which made people jump up to it in the first place.

I know when you want something, you get upset when you don’t get it… but honestly,I never used the rear view video feed. It was kinda disorienting mostly. I think if you your trunk all loaded up, it helps, but regularly, I never used it.

Yes, it was standard for MY20 and MY21 even in our Czech Republic.

I use the back video on all the Defender. I have a MY97 300Tdi Camper with a 2.8 engine built brand new. This car has no electronics whatsoever and I plan to visit Mongolia with it. I hope I can. Then I have MY08 2.4Tdci with a sleeping quarters and a James Baroud tent. I drive this car every day. I'm used to the rear-view camera. Since cars have built-ins, a standard mirror is useless. Instead of a rearview mirror, I have Garmin 276 navigation mounted.

No offense, didn't you total your truck by backing into a pole?

Were you using Clearsight at the time?
