Default Air conditioning 21 P300

Hi all, I have had AC issues since day one when it approaches 90 outside air temp. The passenger side blows warm air, the drivers side lukewarm/kinda cool, and the rear is warm. I have had it in a few times for it and they tell me an "update" fixed it and the next time they said there was a "blockage" in the system. Every time it gets hot I essentially have no AC for at least 10-15 min of driving. Sometimes it works fine but more often it does not. I am a a motorcycle tech by trade so I am not a total idiot when it comes to mechanical issues.

Has anyone else had AC issues?

Yes, last summer my ac was blowing warm. Almost as if it was low on refrigerant. I brought it to the dealer and they fixed it with an “update”. Seemed to be working ok today with outdoor temps approaching 100

There was an issue last year with D90s being overcharged with refrigerant at the factory before being shipped. Happened to mine and on the first hot day experienced exactly what you describe.

Quick update on this issue. It has been at the dealer for a week, they can duplicate the issue all of the time at this point. They have evacuated and recharged the system twice now so it is not the incorrect refrigerant level, the system seems to be working correctly but keeps dropping the cooling and blowing warm air. They have now contacted JLR to see what how they want to proceed which will more than likely be to start throwing parts at it. I told them a buy back is off the table as I cannot get another one to the spec I have at this point. It is a weekend veh and not a daily so I am going to let them fix it. I will see how it all pans out and then ask for something return for my inconvenience.

It was a pinched o ring (they kept it and showed me) behind the dash. I have had it back for a week or so and works just fine now.

Dang, if mine didn't start the same thing today. Worked fine at 2PM, then when I left the office at 5:30 it stopped working and would not come back on all the way home (30 minute drive) no matter what combination of MAX, on ,off etc. The only clue I have is that with the AC on the auto stop does not function at all, then when I turn off the AC and the auto stop is not off, the engine shuts down as it should. As soon as I turn on the AC, the engine starts up. This may mean that the system senses the compressor is running. Or not. But still no cold air, in fact it is warmer than the ambient temps. Seems like a sensor problem. How did the others who posted in this thread resolve the issue?

I took it out after dinner tonight and it magically cured itself, for now. Blows cold air, but having the AC on still seems to override the autostop all of the time. At least I now know how to access the passenger compartment fusebox, which I checked to no good purpose. Sort of relieved that it more likely a software glitch than a mechanical issue. I think I will still make a service appointment to have it checked out anyways.
I would still like to hear other's experiences.
