Default Anyone towing camper with P300?

Morning everyone, I’ve been without a Rover for a time now, thinking about purchasing a 2020 110 w/P300. I currently have an E Pro 15TB camper, dry weight is 2667 lbs.and gross weight is 3877 lbs. I figure I’m probably towing about 3100lbs. on average, well below the P300’s capability. My current towing vehicle is a Porsche Macan base 2.0 Turbo 4cyl., and no real problems towing, the rear end goes down a tad.

Just curious of your experience towing with P300. I’m not a speed demon, I generally tow at 65mph.

Thanks!

Porsche Macan 2.0 Turbo 4 cyl. pulling about 3100lbs.

Not a camper, but I've towed my 20' car hauler a few times with my 23 110 P300 in the month I've had it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the P300 again. It should handle your trailer with ease, probably better than your current rig.

Thank you much! I’m thinking the same, should tow better than Macan. I’m researching a lot, haven’t found many threads with P300 towing, thought I’d ask around.

Appreciate the response! Such an amazing rig, glad you love your P300!

I would seriously think about the air suspension. Having the vehicle self-level is such a bonus when pulling a trailer. You should be fine with the P300.

Totally forgot about self-leveling, another feather in the Defender cap. Sounding like the P300 is up to the task.

Thank you!

I tow several boats ranging from 2,000-5,500 pounds. Nothing too crazy for weight. My P300 tows very well. The heavier boat takes a little more throttle to pull out of the water on the steep ramp, but nothing too dramatic.
I don't have air, and I have 18" rims.

Camper in the picture will work fine, I tow a bigger one.
Air suspension is very useful for hitching trailer.

big +1 for for what @TeddyG mentioned above with respect to hitching convenience with air suspension. I find myself using the switch in the rear cargo area to regularly tweak the point of connection up/down for connecting/disconnecting*. And I gotta add the camera system is spot on when hitching which I love - makes it a no brainer to do things on my own with ease.

*NB: the McHitch on our KK is also a massive contributor to ease of connecting/disconnecting
