WOW! 3 or 4mpg! I've never driven to California, I suppose the elevations are dropping your MPG that low? I was bumming about 12mpg for my recent drive to Badlands with Macan. How much weight are you pulling?

That wouldn’t be the avg of the tank. That would be the snapshot of the real time mpg while pulling hard.
In my experience I get high teens towing any distance. I get low 20s towing nothing.
