Default Buy 23.5 or wait ??? Help

So here is my dilemma,

Sold my Jeep just recently, with the intentions to order & buy a 24”Defender. So here I am , 2 weeks later sharing a vehicle with the wife.
told by my local dealer that my 24” would come sometime September if lucky? I don’t think I can wait it out! So after spending much time calling around , Found a Defender that is almost exact to my build besides exterior color. I was wanting Hakuba silver, this is Fuji white. What’s everyone’s opinion to purchase a 23.5 now or wait months for “24? The Defender fever is real! Just curious of your thoughts…..

It looks like some options are restricted already for 24s. For instance: premium surround audio.

Unless you have specific build needs, waiting makes little sense. MSRPs are only headed in one direction.

Premium surround audio not available for my chosen trim level for 2024. This was all I needed to know. 23.5 for me.
Curious, which dealer had what you were looking for?

Only thing that bothers me a bit is, non-digital gauges or dashboard.

No stranger to buying outta state and bringing home if I needed to. If you are a stickler for rock/road chips, consider using this stuff.... took care of my M3 from South Carolina back down to FL

I didn't do the neatest job but its temporary stuff.

I would get a 23.5 simply because you can still get into a base 110. Also they no longer allow you to get one without a sunroof in 24. I have a 23.5 coming in next month. No markup. Sarek spec'd. Sarek stage 1 2, or 3. Purpose built to suit.

The gauges on our 2023 digital dash are annoying. They automatically dim at dusk or if you drive in a tunnel to the point of the gauges being unreadable. There is no setting you can select to stop the automatic dimming.

I've never changed the view on our digital dashes. You will be fine with the analog gauges.

In my 1 year with the Defender X and now my V8, I have loved and had no issues with the digital dash or anything else for that matter. I do drive through tunnels and have not had that dimming or unreadability that someone posted about. They have both been amazing.
Why don't you look at slightly used, seems to be many for sale on autotrader.
