Default Climate "Lo" Mode

I don't know if this is a known feature or not, but I can't seem to find any mention of it anywhere online or in the manual and stumbled upon it by accident. I have a P300 90.

Normally in manual climate mode the fan can go up to 7 on the dial and that's the maximum speed you get.

I noticed if you turn both ***** down all the way they will say "Lo" on them. When you do this to both the fan blows extremely hard with max ac. Very useful for cooling off the interior quickly!

Hopefully that's new information to someone.

You can also hold down the AC button for a few seconds to activate Max AC mode.

Yea now that it's summer I find myself using LO quite a bit. Seems to be the fastest way to get the climate where I want it, but I usually dial down immediately from a 7 on the blower though. 4 or 5 is usually fine for me.

Nice!

Thanks for the info everyone. Good to know about holding the AC down for Max AC.

Now, does anyone know of a way to actually just shut it off altogether? The only ways I see are to use the power button in climate on the touch screen or to press the fan button and turn it to 0. Would be nice if theres a button I could hold down for that!

There's gotta be a simpler process than "push fan button, wait for **** to display number, turn **** counter clockwise until it says 0"

Right, exactly. I should have said "an easier way"

There is an easier way. Just to the left of the radio/media power button on the controls pad below the touchscreen is the climate control button.

Number 13. Pressing that will bring up the Climate/Air distribution overlay. Press the ON/OFF power button to shut down the entire climate system. Much shorter than tapping the fan button, then tapping the fan speed icon numerous times until it reaches Zero, or shorter than going through all the settings screens to reach the climate screen.

Addendum to the former: Easier way? A feature that I am still learning and need to master is the Voice Control. While driving, I use my left thumb to tap the ‘Voice’ button on the steering wheel controls, wait for the prompt and say”TURN OFF FAN”. Climate Control shuts down. You can say, “INCREASE FAN SPEED” or “DECREASE FAN SPEED” without tapping several Pivi icons to achieve the same results. I had read past threads where the posters weren’t happy with the reach to the Audio/Radio power button. You can also say,”TURN ON RADIO” or “TURN OFF RADIO” in the same manner. There are a multitude of functions that are available using the Voice Command/Control, I’m still learning. Check them out.
