I have got to get rock sliders. I am destroying the underside of my Deefer...

@Mike_F ... Tuffant the way to go?

I've been happy with them - just one serious offroad trip since I installed them. I have coil springs, and the biggest problem I had keeping up with the Wranglers was my ground clearance. I could have used a couple of additional inches. The sliders have some real gouges in them now, but I was taking hits all over the underbody on the trail we took (marked "green" at that park, but pretty challenging). I'm tempted by Sarek's 2" lift springs, but need to move somewhere with taller parking garages first. And we need real underbody skid plates; I don't know of any commercially available in the US yet, but I hear TuffAnt is working on them for Australia, and if they roll them out there, they may become available in the US later.

But it sounds like the other rock sliders (Lucky 8, Voyager and Sarek's) work well too. I chose Tuffant mostly for the style/slim fit. If you prefer a different style I'm sure there are other good options.

Good luck!

Yours,
Mike

I missed out on the first round of Tuffant sliders.

Jake is a good bloke but he had limited numbers I guess.

LK8 or Tuffant. I like both. Tuffant's look more sleek but I'm a fan of the traditional slider look. The complete rounded bar is also more useful if sliding on a lateral object. Perhaps.

It seems the LK8 come with instructions that require some sort of secret handshake to get in the know. Tuffant's seem very thorough.

I have a pair of Tuffant’s first batch set aside by Jake for install later this summer. I’m very excited to pay him a visit and get them up and running (found out we are relatively local to each other), he is great to talk to and is remarkably friendly. Look forward to hearing further feedback on these as I eagerly wait for install scheduling to align. Sounds like @Mike_F has put them through their paces thus far.

The trails are incredibly narrow in Arkansas with lots of boulders and logs, a few unseen obstacles in deep river crossings have already left their mark on my vehicle. These will be a god send.

Always great to meet people who share similar passions - Jake at TuffAnt USA is one of the good ones. Here’s to hoping TuffAnt brings more L663 products to market.

I'd like to install something that basically matches the existing sill lines. I'm not sure making the Defender even wider is a useful thing for me.
Our SA Rock Sliders are an option. They definitely do not protrude like most.

They don't and are fantastic. I have a set of slides from Sarek.

I'm still trying to figure out which ones to get too. @sarek do you have install instructions? And do you recommend anyone in the Denver CO area for installation?
