Default Defender Expedition Rack height

Hi all, I just took delivery of my new defender, and the rack is scheduled to arrive in a few weeks. I'm concerned with the total height of the vehicle with the rack as my garage celling is rather low. Looking at pictures on autotrader, it appears that the rack is just slightly taller than the clearview camera, but was looking to see if anyone here has the rack and what their assessment is regarding overall height Thanks

Also very curious to find the answer as well. Have searched online and can’t find anything definitive. Just ordered my 2021 Defender with the cross bars thinking I can just put them on when I need to put something on the roof for the weekend, and remove so I can still keep the car in the garage otherwise. But if someone can measure theirs I’d appreciate it! The only measurement I’ve been able to find is a height of 77.4 from the top of the rear fin/camera mount. If it’ll work I can still change my order to the expedition rack.

Can't you lower your vehicle to access height to negate the height difference between the roof rack and the antenna? I had to do something similar on my LR3 whenever I visited my wife's office. Put up a warning sign on your garage as a reminder.

Would only be a matter of time before I either forget to lower the car or my wife takes the car out. I may just stick with the cross bars I have ordered for now, only $350ish and I can put them on the car when I need to take surfboards to the beach. If it fits in the garage with the cross bars on the Defender then even better.

Newbie, but here are two pics from the front and rear. Not necessarily flat/level base... I believe 6 inches (from roof/top of car) would be safe rule of thumb.

@bennys8 Could I trouble you to measure the length and width of your expedition roof rack (in inches) at the widest and longest points? Trying to figure out how well my RTT will fit on my Defender build, and whether I'll still have any room left for attaching a shovel. Thanks!

I've been searching the interwebs for an answer on the dimensions but have so far come up empty handed. Seemed like asking an owner was the best option.

Also doing garage door height research. My unconfirmed, online research shows total height to top of the rack to be about 80 inches. Can anyone confirm this with an actual measurement? I also don't want to damage my rack/garage lol.

Thanks!
