Expedition rack with cloth sunroof?
For anyone who has this, how is the noise? The cloth roof isn't as insulated when it comes to noise, so I'm curious how it is with the expedition roof rack on top.
Buy and try. Easily undone. The rack is immensely useful. If its not located right, it will create excessive noise. You get used to it tho and i dont notice mine even past 80mph. I have the glass panel which vibrates like a drum. Low frequency vibration too which is uncomfortable.

I would recommend doing it yourself. Its easy, fun and this car is meant to be worked on. If you cant, then make sure its tight everywhere. There are 6 mounting feet that all have their location. Lf,lR,RR,RF, etc.
Again, check for tightness. Stand in front and back 30 ft to see if its placed right. The feet should mount tightly to the rack. Minimize any gaps between feet and rack.
this is a new acct. i was formerly ericlockheed. I deleted my fb which was my login for ericlockheed. Whatever made a new acct on here🤷♂️

Consider buying fairing from coloradofairingco. Heard good things and like the look but havent bought one yet. Should make it even quieter. Jealous of your fabric roof.... wish my 110 had that... that and third seat up front
The roof rack was delivered to a dealership 3 hours from me(closest one to me) and then they wanted $400 to ship to me - so I'm having another shop order through them because then they only pay $50 shipping. But then that shop offered $200 installation which works for me right now as we are packing our house up for a move across the country on Monday - otherwise I do appreciate working on the cars myself - and thanks for the suggestions on the fairingco - that is definitely the plan as well as I just saw another post about the noise pop up -
my main concern was if it's going to be crazy loud for my drive across the country with my wife as passenger lol - do really do like the fabric roof but there is no sound insulation so sometimes it can sound just like you have a window down, when airplanes fly over you, its loud.

Well, youre in an exciting predicament then. I haven't seen anyone with a roof rack and cloth roof before either. Do report back.
Its your wallet. Please don't take this the wrong way, but it took my father and i 15 min.

and 15 minutes!!!! wow - Dealership quoted me 3 hours of labor just FYI, the local shop thinks it'll take them 2 hours with 4 guys. I have no idea what to expect
