Default Factor 55 Winch Ultrahook Installed

Just installed a Factor 55 Ultrahook for the Warn Zeon winch on my Trophy Edition. Simple to install and a lot better than the pin system the winch came with. Looks better too.

Love the flush mount and high-tech look. I think the recent batch of Trek vehicles were fitted with the same brand and type of hook, so you must be on to something.

Yep, the same hook. When I picked up my Defender in August the owner of the dealership came out to meet me and suggested this as an upgrade when going over the truck. I think Lukcy8 have been carrying these for a while now.

Does it sit flush like that without any additional parts?

@trophy - Yes it does. The tension of the winch cable holds it flush and when it is pulled in, it goes flat. Be VERY careful to bump the winch or do it quickly so that you don't over tension the cable. Likely, no problemo, but I've always had it just as tight as it takes and no more for any winch hook/attachment on the end of it.

Yep, as Grouse stated, it sits flush against the fairlead without any additional parts.

I assume you can’t put the cover that came with the LR winch if you have the ultrahook installed right?

Auh huh. I mean, yep. Sorry for the pun there, but I couldn't resist! You likely need a SlyBracket. They sell them in US & Euro specs. https://www.slybrackets.com/store/SL...LLE-p297358108
