Default Floor Mats - Driver Side

OEM deep-sided rubber mats vs WeatherTech floorliners. Do WeatherTech mats have deep sides as well? Any difference in the texture? I find WeatherTech laser-measured floorliners very slippery when wet.

I don't ever buy WeatherTech. No matter what you do to clean them, they won't ever go back to the "like new" status. And you are correct, they are slippery when wet. I always use Husky Liner products in everything we own. Have been a HL customer since 2010 and not one complaint.

But we have the deep sided factory mats and find them perfect for this car. No need to replace them.

I have the Weather Tech and they are deep. I also live in Seattle and it rains about 6 months out of the year. No real issues with slippery and I have used Weather Tech in almost all my vehicles.

here's some pics of the condition of mine that have been in use for a few years (I think I was among the first to get some from WT for my '17). They are a slicker plastic and while they'll last a long time, they'll gain "character." It's still very rainy here in CA where I am so I haven't bothered to clean them. If I get a chance this week I'll give them a proper cleaning and do another shot. Also notice while they are "black" in color, they are more grey against the interior.

They are easier to pull out and clean because of their weight, but the OEM rubber mats ($$$) will look better over time. If you frequent having to pull out the cargo mat, you may just want to go for the WT, because the rubber OEM is a bear as I know from my old LR4.

I'm actually going through this decision process again for a MY21 order and I think I'm just going to pay the extra cash for LR's.

I just purchased the deep OEMs for my wife’s 110. The deep one are perfect, I’m not to impressed with the second row mats. We also purchased the trunk space mat with the deep sides. 550 for all mats from our Land Rover dealer in Tacoma.
