Fog lamp automatic behavior

Fog lamp automatic behavior
I have a 23 110 V8. I have noticed that the front fog lamps illuminate automatically if you signal a turn after dark for cornering.
Also noticed the rear fog lamps wont turn on at all, unless the fronts are already illuminated
I am interested in using the fog lamp switch to activate a light bar. I’m thinking given the above the rear lamp switch is my best bet
does anyone know why this might not work? It doesn’t have similar behaviors where it turns itself on and off based on a turn signal right?
Another related question: any way to turn off the auto cornering lamps or make the rear fogs turn on independently of the fronts? Maybe in the GAP tool?
thanks for your wisdom

GAP iid tool can set the "CL" off instead of active when fogs aren't on. Cornering Lamps aren't mentioned anywhere because you normally don't have any control.
I hadn't noticed that the rear fogs are switched by requiring front fogs on. Don't know, but it's not something I would have looked for while in GAP.
Mine is a MY23.5 D90S (4 cylinder "P300").
