Folding Fabric Roof

Folding Fabric Roof
Searched to see if anything had been discussed on the folding fabric roof but did not find anything.
I have not seen one in person but have been starting to see some pop up on some youtube videos. Was curious if anyone has one and could list some pro's and con's vs the sliding panoramic roof?
I like the panoramic roof as I like how it opens more light into the vehicle. Living in the PNW I am guessing I would get more "value" from the panoramic roof but the appeal of having the folding roof for the non rainy season is also there. Its also "just different" than typical which is appealing.
I had wanted to mount a roof rack but I think it will be too much trouble with my limited garage height. Outside of less light into the cabin, that was the only other negative I could think of.
Thoughts?

I have the Jeep version of this on a 2019 Rubicon—they call it Sky Power Top. I love it on the Wrangler, but am not considering it for the Land Rover. Probably bc I dont trust it not to leak lol. Also, I worry about snow on the roof with the fabric top. I dont care on the Jeep really, but do in the d110...
Also, the Jeep's roof seems / feels like a convertible. This just feels like a less-reliable, noisier sunroof.

My four cents:
1) The fabric removes a primary advantage of the glass roof --- which is to let light without air into the cabin. My wife required this, from her experience with the 2016 Evoque -- which had a non-opening full length glass roof.
2) The glass and fabric roof both provide air into the cabin when driving and parked (so the dogs don't get hot in a parked car -- a very useable feature).
3) I do not see any tangible advantage to the fabric roof over the glass one -- I do not believe it provides a convertible experience, I humbly propose. Except that it is different, I grant that.
4) If I could have made it happen, I would have gone with a solid roof on my off-road P300 110 S -- for the easiest, future, overlanding potential of the vehicle. But, this was not to be --- refer to point 1 above.
Enjoy !!

I have the Sky One Touch top on my Wrangler. I felt the glass sunroof opening on the Defender was small for the size of the vehicle. For the $1700 price I would have hoped it opened more. I am curious to see the fabric top in person, especially on the 90. I love the fabric top on the Wrangler. Curious if we'll see a convertible 90 in the future?

I just ordered a 110 P300 S with a folding fabric roof. It appealed to me because in cars I’ve owned that have panoramic sunroofs, I keep the sunshade closed 99% of the time because it’s just too bright/hot here in Texas. But on the rare nice weather days when I want it open I really open it up. Something I’ll miss when I replace my current 4Runner with the defender is the sliding rear window. With that and the rest of the windows and sunroof open it’s pretty close to feeling like a convertible. Don’t think I’ll get quite the same effect in the defender but it’s the next best thing.
Anyways, once it arrives this summer I’ll report back with my experience. Hoping road noise at highway speeds isn’t too bad. Also got the meridian sound system so I’ll just drown it out if it is too loud!

My build is coming with the panoramic roof as standard. Happy with this. Think TrioLRowner makes good points. The glass roof gives light permanently both open or closed. It has a lift as well as a slide function - great to have on winter days. Also wonder about what the wind noise will be like and what the draft will be like for rear passengers? Have a couple of convertibles which are great in good weather. The four seat one is really comfortable hood down in the front seat but not good for rear seat passengers. Have a windbreak fitted behind the front seats most of the time to stop swirling air coming from the rear. Would you get the wind swirl in the Defender and what would this be like at say 100km? Overall suspect most people would get much more use out of the panoramic roof?
