Default Fridge trade offs?

Hi! Newbie here so be gentle!

We’re about to order and I can’t get a clear answer. If I order C&C with the fridge, are there any trade offs like a smaller center console? Restricted space elsewhere? Anything similar?

thanks!

Everything is the same. Doesn’t look any different, the only thing is when you open the lid it’s cold.

When I went to add it to mine they wouldn’t let me, there was a shortage of parts. Kind of a novelty, but I really wanted one. I was bummed because it was still on the website and I could add it, but when they went to order it, no dice.

Love the fridge, fully worth the add in my opinion, use it a lot especially on longer drives

Have the fridge, love the fridge.. I would say it's not THAT great on short drives around town, remember it needs time to get going, but once it does, watch out! went for a 2 hour drive, drinks were ICE COLD. very impressive.

Thanks all for the strong positive feedback.

Despite that, I’m still a bit undecided primarily because I usually put all my miscellaneous stuff in there which presumably I’d need to find a new home for.

Love the fridge as well, a must-have for me after having the fridge in our LR4's. It has an on-off switch so you can put other stuff in it without turning it on. Or take out the stuff when you want to keep beverages or a sandwich cold. Best feature is that it prevents water or soda from freezing when you park at a ski area on really cold day.

Agree with all of the other posters. Love the fridge in my 2020 Defender 110 HSE.

Works great on road trips to keep drinks cold or anything else you can fit in there. It does take a little while to cool down to optimal temperature, so it isn't all that handy on a short trip around town, but I'd order it again instead of another storage bin that collects dog hair and dust.

No worries about that, there is a switch to turn it on/off. I keep all of my stuff in there 90% of the time. It's all in a small bag. When I need the fridge I pull the bag out and switch the fridge on.

Do it. You'll have no regrets if you get it, but you will regret it if you don't.

I use my fridge as fridge on road trips.

But for normal daily driving, it's full of stuff ie "junk drawer" . So, even if you get the fridge, you still have a full center console to stuff with your misc items. Keys, receipts, random papers, microfibers, cleaning supplies, a tool or two.

I do worry that I'm scratching up the rather nice inside of the fridge, but so far no damages.

Defender3d make a neat little plastic insert that installs into the fridge and perfectly holds four standard sodas/bottles so they can't move or rattle.
