I am planning to use the JLR tray (unless someone else makes one?). But, if so I do NOT see the necessity in my United States, small-town, Southern mountains to stop my easy access to the winch by installing either a bull bar or the upside down Ubar thing. Instead, like every other vehicle with a winch I know of driving around here, I will expose the front of the tray and not have to bother with the cut-outs they want me to make into a perfectly good front bumper facia.

I am thinking it should not look horrible NOT being hidden (I did not buy the defender for its looks, in any case) -- cause a hidden winch is a strange usability approach to me.

If I am wrong I can add the bull bar, later. At least these are my thoughts, today.

I just placed my order and requested a port install per your message. My salesman said its not able to be installed as a port install. It costs over $800 to have the dealer install. Was curious if you have any thing that I could use to show that a port install is possible?

I don't; I have the build sheet quoting it at USD1000 (installed) -- but it doesn't say port or anything useful there I'm afraid...

@Moretti - just got sent a list of what's 'port install available' today, at least according to my dealer. Attached.

Just an FYI ...

PowerfulUKLtd just received more OEM Front Undershields. I just ordered one. (was happy to pay the 20% price/ship premium to the U.S. to fund their continuing video work.)

I will install once the weather warms up !!

I bought mine with an underbody protection option and although port install wasn't available the price was the same as if it was. Ditto my winch & roof rack.

The front undershield VPLEP0436 says it is for 2020-2023. Does it also fit 2024 or is there a new part?
