Heated Windscreen

Heated Windscreen
Hi all, I've ordered a '23 110 X which comes standard with the Windsor leather option, but this option seems to force the addition of the cold climate pack with heated steering wheel, windscreen, washer jets etc. I live in an area that does get quite cold in winter so I'm more than happy with this option, however, I have heard that the heated windscreen (the tiny wires) can be a bit obvious/distracting at times.
When I test drove an X (90), I wasn't looking out for this and didn't notice anything...probably because it was a very spur of the moment test drive and my first time in a Defender, so I had plenty of other things on my mind!
For those with the heated windscreen or those who have had experience with one, it is obvious when driving (sunny, overcast, night etc)?

I have had them in two Range Rovers and nearly every aircraft I flew. You have to focus on them to even see them. They are not remotely noticeable when you focus at normal driving distances. There is a subtle shift in the view when you first switch them on, you have to watch closely to see it. Flying can be boring at times and funny what you will notice when your bored. Some heated windshields in aircraft make interesting patterns when you wear polarizing sunglasses. I have not worn those in decades, so I don't know if the Rovers have that. BTW, get the glass supplemental coverage in your insurance. They are also a tiny bit more expensive to replace when wanged. In AZ it is only $10 a year, so well worth it. Up here in the mountains the snowplows seem to get mine about every other year or so.

They are fantastic! Instead of having to mess with the defroster switch (which never seems to work all that well...) the electric windscreens do the job like a champ. I had it in my '03 LR Discovery, and it was the single feature I missed most when I sold it. When the new Defender came out, there was no question but that i would check that option box. Plus -- the heated steering wheel (first I've had it) is a great bonus!
