Hi all! Our Defender is Yulong White and one thing that I am not too crazy about is the high contrast of the white hood and the black “bonnet chequer plates” (my husband says that these will be matte black versus gloss black with the trim level).
A metal diamondplate would be awesome! These kits are for older models. Have not come across 2020 and newer models.
Ignore the decal.
I have seen videos where these have been popped out but am interested to know if anyone has painted or wrapped these pieces and/or has come across an aftermarket metal replacement that mirrors that of the original Defenders (and obviously, these pieces would have to be really thin to fit where the plastic was). It’s not a huge deal and quite possibly the only thing I would change on the entire vehicle but it’s worth exploring! Thoughts and opinions appreciated!
Heritage looks great. But before I paid 1,900 euros, I'd take the New Defender Mods to a shop to have them powder coated or painted. I'd save about a thousand euros.
I have the New Defender Mods. They look great and would recommend them. At the time it was still a Gen 1 so I painted the screws/bolts and the under layer black. You can just as easily paint them any color that Rustoleum makes (or any other paint brand if you have them professionally done!)
