I don't think you can really go wrong with any of the choices but it is pretty light. Everything is so easy to clean on it though, the only part I worry about is the small canvas portion on the seat but I spilled something on it and sat in it rubbing it in quite a bit so I used a small squirt of that automotive foaming carpet cleaner and it came right up so easy so not worried anymore. I have a few jobs but my main one is tires (and my dog will fight me to get inside the car also) so my hands get greasy and very black some days. So far it's all wiped off very easily but it does show up quite easily. Black seems to be in most of them though so maybe there's a reason for that? I do like to be different though!

The acorn looks nice. I went with the ebony because of the black/white exterior.

 

I was wondering, on my Disco the doors just unlock once you touch the door handle.. the Defendo I've got to push the little square, is there anyway I can get back to touch and go or is the Defender not set up like that? Also I'm really thinking about having my wheel repair guy paint all of mine either black or a dark gray, what you guys/girls think? I would just go with the RedBourne wheels and they have a couple styles I really like but with their width and offset it'll bring them out around 1.25 inch and the 275/55s I installed will surely rub.. can't decide.. Paint the OEs or try and modify the RedBournes to not rub?

 

In regards to the door handles, the dealer did tell me it doesn't have the same unlock feature by just touching (like the Discovery and RRS). You get used to pressing the button on the door handle after a few days, but I feel like the location of the door handle button though is meant for left-handed people. So this is a win for lefties. (I am right handed)

Love the roof rack, is that dealer installed. Any wind noise from it? When are ladders available - my truck should arrive September.

 

Dealer installed. No real wind noise that I can tell. Not sure when ladder will be available but I am ordering as soon as they become available. I have to say one of the best features I ordered was the cross beam in white. I love the fact that the interior crossbeam matches the exterior of the car.
