Default My 2020 X. Blacked out. Johnson Rods

Incredibly pleased with the Defender so far. Added all the Land Rover accessories a couple weeks after purchasing. I was on the fence regarding the lift. Love the look, but didn't want to mess up what felt like a near perfect ride. Found this forum and the Johnson Rods thread and had to do it.

Ordered the rods and received in a few days. Had a shop install and was trying to figure out the largest tire that would fit. Asked Johnson Rods and received an immediate response. I have the factory 22 inch black wheels, and wanted to keep. So they said my options were 295 45 22 or 305 45 22. I did the conversion and saw that a 33 12.5 22 was about a half inch wider. The other specs were super close. So we tried one and it rubbed the mud flaps. Took that off and tried the 305 45 22. Fit perfect. I've only had it back a few days. I can hear a little more tire noise, but it's acceptable to me, and worth the look.

Anyway, super pleased with the Defender. I just hit 3,000 miles with no issues so far.

One last thing....I'm thinking about blacking out the metal front and rear. What do you guys think? Thanks.

the tire and rim combo look amazing!

I like the contrast with the silicon silver bumper trims.

Sorry about your blacked out Johnson rod, SimsF1. See a urologist; they can usually get you straightened out. Then, for God’s sake, STAY AWAY FROM CHEAP HOOKERS!

Nice setup! All black side steps are available from several sources. If you get lucky, they will have the DEFENDER logo on the rubber portion. They seem to show up with both variations, however there's no actual difference.

I just received some black side steps and the step portion is actually plastic. They look exactly like OEM but I'm a little disappointed. Are these black aluminum OEM?

Nice. Think we’re going to do the lift as well (1.5”).

I went all black with ours.

Is the back end higher than the front end?
