This afternoon I recieved a notice saying that it was time to update the Pivi with new software. I have attached pictures that show the updates. I really like that they have incorporated what 3 words into the navigation. Pretty cool that we can type in a location's what 3 words and the Defender will set a course or if you are meeting someone at a location, you can provide the 3 words and they will be able to find you.
^^ Funny, I never heard of what3words. Looked it up. I picked an easy-to-remember square at the front of my yard. Now I have to find where I can use that. Uber? Lyft? DoorDash?
I have NO idea what they mean by "What 3 Words".....
I know, right? I long for the day when there's some sort of library or something, maybe all connected digitally to our computers, where you can research things like that and get the answer.

Think of What3Words as a precise location for anywhere in the world similar to GPS coordinates. The difference is you only have to know 3 words versus a set of coordinates. By only using 3 words, you are able to communicate easier with people. The best part is more and more maps systems are using What3words in navigation and here is kicker. You can pick a place you want to see in world, press on it and 3 words will appear. You then type the 3 words into something like Pocket Earth. I included a link to Pocket Earth. You plug in the three words and it will creat a route to get you there. More and more navigation apps are beginning to incorporate it into there system. You can even use it with the Pivi navigation. As the update said, as long as there is a road to get you there, the navigation will take you.
After a few starts and stops, it's back. But now it will only display Celsius. Everything else in the display and dash is in freedom units. Who knows...

Mine has always been in Celcius, when I bought it and after each update. Like you, everything else is Fahrenheit. I just quickly run the (C x 1.8) + 32 calculation in my head.
Joking aside, I actually do that every time I look at it if I don't have to be thinking about anything else, just to keep myself sharp.
